ACT 155
ACT 155 Diploma Information
Gov. Nikki Haley has signed into law legislation that eliminates the high school exit exam (HSAP) students were required to pass in order to graduate. This law also makes provisions for any student who did not receive a high school diploma or graduate from high school solely for failure to pass the BSAP/HSAP exam. Any student who did not pass the BSAP/HSAP exam in high school, from 1990 to 2014, may petition the local school board to determine if he or she can receive a high school diploma under the Act 155. Persons eligible to receive a South Carolina high school diploma under these provisions must have met all other graduation requirements at the time of his or her high school attendance. If you graduated from Spartanburg District Six and fall into this category, please call 864-582-4347 and ask for the Dorman High School Guidance Department.
