Dr. Tania Graetz-Pedersen
Dr. Graetz-Pedersen's goal in the classroom is to help students master the fundamentals of science and prepare them to be college and career-ready. Dr. GP also strives to help each student develop what are called Soft Skills: characteristics and habits that individuals need to succeed in the workplace and other aspects of their lives.

About Dr. Graetz-Pedersen: Dr. GP is a retired Doctor of Chiropractic. She is National Board of Chiropractic Certified and an alumnus of New York Chiropractic College [Northeast College of Health Sciences]. Additionally, she graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. She has taken the Alternate Route to acquire her Educator Certificate via the American Board (ABCTE) program and is a fully certified teacher with the state of South Carolina.
Outside of teaching: at Dorman, Dr. GP is the on-site advisor for FBLA [Future Business Leaders of America], a co-advisor for the Marine Science Society, and also a co-chair of the True Blue Cavalier Committee.
At the state level, Dr. Graetz-Pedersen is a board member of South Carolina Marine Science Educators. SCMEA is a non-profit organization composed of individuals from across the state whose vision is to make known the world of water, both fresh and salt, and whose mission is to connect professionals from across the state to help promote the preservation of aquatic environments.
