Dr. Graetz-Pedersen's goal is to help students master the fundamentals of science and prepare them to be college and career ready. Dr. GP also strives to help each student develop what are called Soft Skills: characteristics and habits that individuals need to succeed in the workplace and other aspects of their lives.

About Dr. Graetz-Pedersen: Dr. GP is a retired Doctor of Chiropractic. She is National Board of Chiropractic Certified and an alumnus of New York Chiropractic College. Additionally she graduated from East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. She has taken the Alternate Route to acquire her Educator Certificate via the American Board (ABCTE) program and is a fully certified teacher with the state of South Carolina.

 

Outside of teaching, Dr. GP is an advisor for the Marine Science Society with Mrs. Koutroulias & Mrs. Reich at Dorman and also a member of the True Blue Cavalier Committee.

Google Classroom is used so students are able to access study materials, lesson notes, links to other digital tools & most makeup work. Students need to use their school email to log in to Google Chrome as follows:
     Username: first name initial + last name + last 3 digits of student number
     Password: ds+last 4 digits of student number+2 digit birthday
Then from there they can enter the proper Google Classroom Code to join their Class for the semester. They obtain the unique Class code in the beginning of the semester. 
Marine Science Society
Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 3:40 - 4:45pm. The location will rotate between A202, A208, and A214. 
This is a hands-on student organization that will be working both indoors and outdoors, learning about and improving local bodies of water and surrounding ecosystems. Additionally, there will be an annual field trip to explore marine ecosystems.
