Welcome to Social Studies at Dorman High School!
Our department goals are to encourage students to gain greater knowledge of the past, a better understanding of the present, and a vision for the future as they engage in the Social Studies curriculum here at Dorman High School.
Graduation requirements for Social Studies include a Social Studies elective course, US History which includes a rigorous, state-mandated End of Course exam, Government, and Economics.
US History utilizes USA TestPrep, an online EOC preparatory learning tool, in all of our US History CP classes. USA TestPrep is a resource for WorkKeys practice as well. Visit this site for more information about all of the benefits of using this learning tool in our Social Studies classrooms:
